Former Australian Wallabies Captain George Gregan is headed back to Fiji in 2017 for the Fiji International.

Having chosen to holiday in Fiji during the tournament period last year, Gregan enjoyed his time at the Fiji International so much that he is coming again this year.

With word of the Fiji International spreading; it is becoming common to see many famous faces greenside at the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia, European Tour and Asian Tour tri-sanctioned tournament.

“Fiji is amazing, it’s a beautiful part of the world and the people reflect that as well, they are just really beautiful people, so warm and welcoming, I love going to Fiji,” said Gregan.

A keen golfer, Gregan will tee it up alongside one of the Tour Professionals during the official Fiji International Pro-Am on Wednesday 16 August.

“The pro-am is a lot of fun, getting to know the Pro that you play with; they share their time and knowledge with us which is always special,” added Gregan.

“The back drop, playing the Fiji International Pro-Am, I couldn’t be happier.”

He will then demonstrate the skills he is internationally acclaimed for when he hosts a junior rugby clinic for the second year.

“We were lucky enough to be invited to Rahmatullah School which is right near Natadola Bay; the kids were so overwhelmed, which was fantastic,” said Gregan of the 2016 experience.

“We played a bit of touch rugby and the smiles on their faces made it all worthwhile.”

If meeting Gregan, scoring his autograph or even snapping a selfie has been on your bucket list then come to the Fiji International.
