The Fiji International is about to get a touch of glitz and glamour as Miss World Fiji 2016, Pooja Priyanka signs on as Brand Ambassadors for the world-class golf tournament.

Miss World’s commitment to the Fiji International comes in the wake of FBC being confirmed as the broadcast partner of the 2016 Fiji International.

FBC will be broadcasting the Fiji International live for five hours each day of the tournament proper while Pooja Priyanka will be joining tournament activities throughout the week, offering an opportunity for spectators to get up close and personal with the Miss World candidate.

FBC will also be using its various radio stations to promote the tournament and will support the Fiji International with a pre-event campaign that will assist in driving spectators to Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course from 6-9 October.

Miss World Fiji will be attending all of the Fiji International functions including the Official Tournament Welcome Dinner. She will also be hosting the Friday Night Cut Party on 7 October at the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa together with other Brand Ambassadors of the Fiji International.

“The PGA is one of the oldest Associations in professional golf. I am very excited to be part of the tournament and all the specific sporting and educational training this brings to our shores,” said Miss Priyanka, Miss World Fiji.

“Who knows if there are future Vijay Singh’s in Fiji that are still in the making and this is a brilliant platform for them.”

“I’m looking forward to meeting all the personalities that will be coming to our shores as a result of the Fiji International. Being a Brand Ambassador will give me the opportunity to share our beautiful tropical island with them and to the tremendous fan following golf has all over the world.”

Spectators at the Fiji International can look forward to meeting Pooja Priyanka in person with scheduled public appearances on a daily basis as well as daily visits to the VIP corporate entertainment areas, The Paradise Club and the 4th Beach Oasis, where she will be mingling with stakeholders, sponsors and VIP guests.

The Fiji International will be played at Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course from 6-9 October for AU$1.5million in prizemoney with tickets on sale at the gate and online.

Enticed by the tropical destination World Number 22 Brandt Snedeker will headline a field which also stars Fijian hero and three time Major champion Vijay Singh.

This year, the Fiji International expands its global presence and confirms its position as an integral tournament in the South Pacific region, with the tournament being co-sanctioned by the European Tour and ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia.
