The countdown is on with the Fiji International just a month away!

Since the final putt was sunk at the inaugural tournament in August last year, plans for the 2015 Fiji International were being put in place, work was busily being done and now the finishing touches are being added to ensure this year’s tournament is bigger and better!

The course is ready…

One of the star attractions of the Fiji International is the Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course which according to Tournament Director Andrew Langford-Jones is one of the most beautiful in the world!

“In all my time in golf, 25 years in this position, I have never seen a more beautiful 18 holes of golf,” said Langford-Jones. That’s high praise from a man who each year works on some of the most revered and iconic golf courses in the world such at Augusta National for the US Masters and this year the Old Course at St Andrews for The Open.

An expert in managing golf tournaments, Langford-Jones is impressed with how the course is developing for the Fiji International.

“The course has had a little bit of extra sun light this year and more time to come out of the winter months so the course conditioning will be even better than we saw last year,” added Langford-Jones.

“The course superintendant Steve Lalor is an expert in being able to produce tournament golf courses so the course will be just perfect.”
The players are ready…

American Matt Kuchar who is the 14th highest ranked golfer in the world will be the headline act at the Fiji International this year but there are plenty of other highly talented players on display.

While entries for the tournament are still open, and another key announcement is due in the coming weeks, here is a snap shot of the field so far…
