With the tournament set to tee off on Thursday, Tuesday is a Practice Day for the players with competitors still arriving in Fiji from all over the world.

Players will arrive at the course, register for the event then head out for their first look at the golf course.

Players are likely to play a full round, so it’s a good day to get out there and see the Professionals up close for the first time.

Entry to the course on Tuesday is free of charge to the general public, so come and see the spectacular set up!

Of those arriving in Fiji today, Vijay Singh will fly in to Nadi airport early this morning and head straight to Natadola to check out his course.

Vijay just arrived back from the USA where he competed in the season’s last Major of the year, the PGA Championship.

Finding good form, Vijay finished in a tie for 36th amongst an impressive field so look out for the three-time Major Champion this week.

Later tonight the InterContinental Fiji Resort and Spa will host the Official Tournament Dinner.

The invitation only event will be attended by VIPs, sponsors and officials.

Welcome to Pro-Am day at the Fiji International!

Another day open free to the public, today the competitors will play a friendly round grouped with amateur golfers, including sponsors and representatives of the local Fiji golf industry.

A once in a lifetime opportunity for many golf fans, the Pro-Am offers an experience like none other.

The Pro-Am will be played in two fields.

A morning field will tee off from 7.00am with an afternoon field to tee off at 12.30pm.

Major Champions Nick Price and Vijay Singh will both compete in the afternoon field after first visiting the Media Centre to talk to local journalists about the week ahead.

Again, Pro-Am day is another opportunity for the competitors to play the course under full tournament condition, at the same time giving their playing partners a few tips on the way around.
