Natural Waters of Viti Limited, the producer of FIJI Water, one of Fiji’s most recognisable global brands, is the latest company to align with the Fiji International golf tournament.

A truly international brand, FIJI Water is available in 50 countries and will support Fiji’s first globally broadcast golf tournament, the Fiji International.

As the Official Water of the Fiji International, FIJI Water will ensure participants, including Major Champions Vijay Singh and Nick Price, will be well hydrated throughout the tournament.

Natalie Ritter General Manager of the Fiji International says aligning with the globally recognisable FIJI Water is a boost for the tournament.

“We are proud to be aligned with FIJI Water, an iconic global brand which promotes the values of Fiji to the world,” said Ritter.

“As Fiji’s first internationally broadcast tournament we look forward to working with FIJI Water to further showcase Fiji’s beauty and attractions to the world.”

While Matt Porm, Head of Commercial for the Fiji International for SEL added that the Fiji International will be aiming to emulate Fiji Waters global success.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with FIJI Water for our inaugural tournament,” said Porm.

“FIJI Water is a premium and world renowned product which highlights the unique Fijian lifestyle. This is a quality which we admire and aim to achieve with the Fiji International.”

More than a golf tournament, the Fiji International and its sponsors will be promoted to a global audience in more than 30 countries around the world.

In its inaugural year the Fiji International has attracted a strong field headlined by Fiji hero Vijay Singh, Major champion Nick Price and India’s number one player Anirban Lahiri.

The Fiji International will be played at Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course from 14-17 August.

Being played for a US$1 million prize purse the Fiji International will be co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour of Australasia and OneAsia.

Supported by the Fijian Government, the Fiji International is expected to produce a multi-million dollar boost for the local economy, in addition to flow on benefits including the growth of the game in the region.

Designed by Singh, the Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course is renowned for its sparkling backdrop of coral reefs and the Pacific Ocean that line 15 out of the 18 championship holes.

Tickets for the Fiji International are now on sale through selected Total Service Stations and RC Manubhai stores.

Total Service Stations  selling tickets include: The Total Tavua, Total Ba, Total Lautoka, Total Navutu, Total Namaka, Total Corner Pt, Total Town end (Nadi), Total Sigatoka.  Suva areas:  Total Lami, Total Hibiscus, Total Flagstaff, Total Laucala, Total Makoi and Total Nausori.

Thanks to the support of the Fijian Government, tickets are available to Fijian residents at a reduced rate when proof of residence is shown.

The cost of a ticket includes a free shuttle bus from the corner of Maro Road and Queens Road junction in Natadola, and 10 per cent discount on bus travel with Sunbeam to the junction (normal bus timetable to apply.)

Children 16 years and under are admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult.
