Tappoo has signed on as the latest sponsor of the 2016 Fiji International, supplying the events team, officials, service staff and volunteers with apparel to wear during the professional golf tournament which will be played from 6-9 October at Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course.

“We have seen the Fiji International grow from strength to strength over the past two years and are impressed with the exposure that the tournament offers both internationally and domestically. This certainly enticed us to come on board for the first time,” said Kaushal Tappoo, Executive Director of Tappoo.

“The announcement of the European Tour coming to Fiji for the first time and co-sanctioning the event together with the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia is a great achievement for the tournament and Tappoo is proud to be associated with the Fiji International.”

As well as ensuring the tournament officials and volunteers are looking sharp in their uniform, Tappoo will be producing a limited edition apparel line for the tournament.

Spectators can purchase merchandise including shirts, caps, bags and other items useful to golfing fans to commemorate their visit to the Fiji International.

“Fans are always looking for an autograph from their favourite players and now they can get one on official Fiji International merchandise,” added Mr. Tappoo.

“Available at a fan friendly price, this exclusive line of merchandise will be sold on site at the Fiji International as well as at selected Tappoo outlets across the nation and at our Duty Free Shop at Nadi International Airport.”

The team that ensures the Fiji International is a success is made up of more than 300 people including TV crews, service staff, suppliers, volunteers and operations staff. Over 100 of these team members are from overseas while the other 200 are local teams all working together at the Fiji International.

The Fiji International will be played at Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course from 6-9 October for AU$1.5million in prizemoney with tickets on sale at the gate and online.

This year, the Fiji International expands its global presence and confirms its position as an integral tournament in the South Pacific region, with the tournament being co-sanctioned by the European Tour and ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia.
